CS 2.9" Smooth Read Case-Shot, Short Variant- Great iron with some minor ground action on one side of the nose. Cleaned and coated. Wood Adapter, paper time fuse -missing. Wrought Iron Sabot. Rarity 9+. Weighs 8.2 pounds.  2.8" x 7.8" Similar to Dickey & George, 1993 Edition, Field Artillery Projectiles of the American Civil War, pp242. Recovered Chancellorsville, VA. - $895 - CWA020  

 

CS 3" "Marshall Arsenal" Common Shell- Great iron with only some very minor ground action in a couple of places. Cleaned and coated. Wood Adapter, paper time fuse -missing. Copper Ring / Hybrid band Sabot. Rarity 9. Weighs 7.4 pounds.  2.9" x 7.6" - $1, 775 - CWA021  

 

US/CS 6 Pound Solid Shot- Great iron with virtually no pitting. Nice example of solid shot of the harder to find 6 pounder. - $165 - CWA022

US 3.67" Sawyer Rigid Wall Canister- What you have here is the remains of a fired, Sawyer Canister round. Some of the lead canister remains fused in the base. Cleaned, coated and stable. A neat and rare artifact.. - Sold BH - CWA024
CS 6.4" Read Iron Sabot Tear Drop Bolt - Great iron. Cleaned and coated. Slick with some chipping on one side of the thin iron sabot, presumably from being fired, as the iron is in such excellent condition overall. The lathe marks are still visible on the bourrelet and super clear (see photo) Weighs approximately 44 pounds, 6.36 x 9" - $2,695 - CWA017           
US 3" Schenkl Percussion Shell - Great iron. Super slick with no ground action. Intact, removable Percussion fuse with slider intact.  Weighs approximately 8 pounds, 2.9" x 9" - Sold - CWA018

  
CS 12 Pound Shell - Decent iron with some minor pitting which is characteristic of this type shell. CS copper fuze adapter  Weighs approximately 8.2 pounds, 4.5" diameter - $425 - CWA019

US 3" Dyer Common Shell - Excellent iron. Nose only. Cleaned and coated. No fuse, but with excellent threads. This shell has  the remains of an old label on it that can no longer be read. The tin cup for attachment of the sabot (missing) remains. Weighs approximately 5.6 pounds, 2.9" Diameter -$275 - CWA012

US Bormann Fuse- Un-Punched with all numbers and most marks strong and visible. Threads are 85+% complete with some minor thread damage on one side. Similar to C. H. Jones, Artillery Fuses of the Civil War, pp 23 top. - AF028 - $195 - Sold CD  
CS Bormann Fuse- Drilled CS Bormann Fuse Fragment. This a fragment of a 12 pound CS Bormann with a super rare drilled fuse intact. The fuse was drilled to allow the use of a paper paper time fuse - The confederates had to use everything. This is the actual fuse pictured in Chuck Jones Book, C. H. Jones, Artillery Fuses of the Civil War, pp 27 bottom. - AF029 - $645 - Hold JR

US Hotchkiss Percussion Fuse - Excellent dug Hotchkiss Percussion Fuse. This fuse was used for the larger caliber naval or siege projectiles. Complete and whole, with nice threads and green patina. 1.37" Head diameter and 2.7" in length. This the actual fuse in C. H. US Parrott Percussion Fuse - West Point Style - Excellent dug Parrott  Percussion Fuse anvil cap and slider. Excellent overall condition.  1.24" head diameter;  1.12" thread diameter x 0.90" length.
