US Regulation 1839 Pattern Rifleman Enlisted Waist Belt Plate - Excellent, dug US Buckle. 99+% of the original lead remains in the back.  Puppy Paw stud type hooks with nice, slick chocolate patina. Excellent overall condition. W.H. Smith Brooklyn makers mark stamped in lead on back. Identical to Plate 483 in American Military Belt Plates by O'Donnell & Campbell. pp. 302. - $475 - USB066

US Regulation 1839 Pattern Rifleman Enlisted Waist Belt Plate - Excellent, dug US Buckle. 99+% of the original lead remains in the back.  Puppy Paw stud type hooks with nice, super slick chocolate patina. Excellent overall condition. W.H. Smith Brooklyn makers mark stamped in lead on back. Identical to Plate 483 in American Military Belt Plates by O'Donnell & Campbell. pp. 302. - $475 - USB067

US Regulation 1839 Pattern Enlisted Cartridge Box Plate - Excellent, dug US Cartridge Box Plate. 95+% of the original lead remains in the back.  Both iron loops intact and strong. J.L. Pittman makers mark in lead in back. Slick chocolate brown patina with a mostly smooth face Similar to Plate 479 in American Military Belt Plates by O'Donnell & Campbell. pp. 300, without makers mark. - $395 - USB068

Waist Belt Plate, New York Militia, Infantry - Excellent, dug SNY Belt Plate. Great green patina with slick face and 99+% of the lead remains in the back. The lead hook is missing, but it is priced accordingly. Displays very nicely. Recovered in Fredericksburg, VA.  Similar to Plate 545 in American Military Belt Plates by O'Donnell & Campbell. pp. 336. - Sold - USB069

Waist Belt Plate, Ohio Volunteer Militia, Infantry Enlisted - Excellent, dug medium sized OVM Belt Plate. Great green patina with nice face and 95+% of the lead remains in the back. There is a slight bend to the buckle and the edge of the buckle nearest the O had some rim damage (and has since been repaired), but it displays very nicely and is in great overall condition. Similar to Plate 553 in American Military Belt Plates by O'Donnell & Campbell. pp. 340. - $1,895 - USB070

Missing some lead from the back from flaking as is common with these plates and missing both iron loops. There are a couple of hairline cracks around the edge on the face. US Regulation 1826 Pattern Infantry Enlisted Shoulder Belt Plate " Breastplate" - Nice, dug US Breast Plate. Missing some lead from the back from flaking as is common with these plates and missing both iron loops. There is some slight iron "bled-through" on the eagle's breast, but minor. This plate is marked Boyd & Sons / Boston on the back, but not clearly (flaking affects reading). Pleasing, green patina. - $135 - USB064

US Regulation 1826 Pattern Infantry NCO Shoulder Belt Plate " Breastplate" - Nice, dug US Breast Plate. Missing some lead from one edge of his plate, but the remaining lead is smooth. Nice relatively smooth face. Missing three iron hooks normally present on non-dug specimen. Marked W.H. Smith / Brooklyn in the lead on the back. Pleasing, green patina. - $165 - USB065

Slick chocolate brown patina with smooth face and letter style reflecting early, or pre-war manufacturer. Hard to upgrade this one. Nearly identical to Plate 479 in American Military Belt Plates by O'Donnell & Campbell. pp. 300, without makers mark. - $225 - USB057

US Regulation 1839 Pattern Rifleman Enlisted Waist Belt Plate - Excellent, dug US Buckle. 99+% of the original lead remains in the back.  Puppy Paw, round, stud type hooks with nice, slick chocolate patina (as can be seen in the pictures, there is a small amount of spotty green verdigris present on the face, but this is only superficial and mainly visible due to the magnification of the camera). Excellent overall condition. Long, unusual lead hook, with the fat letter style. Two fixed studs behind the "S", indicates Dragoon, or Rifleman's usage. Identical to Plate 486 in American Military Belt Plates by O'Donnell & Campbell. pp. 303. - Sold - USB048
